Learn to work with metal in all kinds of ways from casting metal to moving it in the more traditional blacksmithing ways. Students will spend several hours in class, but there will also be time for swimming, hiking and campfires. In addition to camp-style activities, our youth events include time for discussion and reflection on connections between the arts, spirituality, and personal growth. In the long-standing tradition of McDowell Summer Camps, young people may find their own inspiration and renewal through worship, work, and play.
Open to students entering grades 9 – 12
