Kentuck Artists in Residence


With the shared goal of perpetuating folk art, the Alabama Folk School at Camp McDowell has joined with Kentuck Art Center & Festival to offer “The Kentuck Experience at the Alabama Folk School.” This exciting collaboration will give Kentuck Festival goers an opportunity to extend their Festival experiences by meeting Kentuck artists and learning their craft in a week-long workshop at the Alabama Folk School.

Workshops are open to all. No experience necessary.

The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is in 46th year of existence and has become nationally known for its folk, outsider, and self-taught artists. The Festival showcases a number of artists who create contemporary and fine art. Kentuck Art Center operates year-round and features a Gallery Shop, a community clay co-op, artist studios, and monthly exhibitions.
