Overall pricing is broken down into workshop tuition, lodging and meals.
Workshop tuition is as follows:
$180 for 3-day workshop
$240 for 4-day workshop
$300 for 5-day workshop
$350 for 6-day workshop
Some classes have an additional materials fee, which is paid directly to the instructor. Materials fees are listed in the course description.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
To reserve a spot in a class, registrants must pay tuition in full. Registrants may pay for lodging and meals at any point prior to the workshop. Any remaining balance is due upon arrival at the workshop.
A cancellation fee of $100 will be charged on cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the start of the workshop. Cancellations received 30 days or less prior to the start of the workshop will receive no refund on tuition. No tuition, lodging, or meal refunds will be made after the start date of a workshop. Cancellation fees apply, regardless of the reason for cancelling. Registrations are non-transferable to another session or event.
Local Resident Discount
As part of the Alabama Folk School's 10 Year Anniversary in 2017, we will offer limited-time discounts available for full-time residents of the following three surrounding Alabama counties: Winston, Walker, and Cullman. A valid driver's license or voter registration card is required.
The discount is 50% off tuition. The discount does not apply to food or lodging costs or the cost of materials for a class. Space and availability are offered on a first come, first served, standby basis. The discount may not be available for certain workshops. Students will be notified if a discounted space is available one week prior to the start of the class.
Local residents may elect to pay full price for a class at any time to confirm their spot in the class.

Local Resident Cancellation/Transfer Policy: A $25 fee will be charged for any change in registration for local students on standby for a class. Once confirmed for a class, the regular cancellation fee applies.
No person will be denied the opportunity to come to the Alabama Folk School at Camp McDowell due to inadequate finances. Financial assistance and/or payment arrangements will be made available to those who are in need. Due to the amount of scholarships requested each year, it is our policy to request a $50 deposit from each camper as possible and/or a portion of the session fee.
