Her interest in beekeeping started in high school when her dad decided to become a hobby beekeeper. Helping him in the back year with his hives fascinated her, and Annaliese was excited to hear Camp McDowell had hives too! Since then, she has honed her beekeeping skills in Nauvoo with the help of a local master beekeeper in training. She has also picked up soap making skills during her time at MFS and is looking forward to creating one of a kind local soaps with you. One of the most rewarding experiences from her new skills is seeing students use our honey and soap in their farm school classes!
