Suggested Painting Spots

Camp McDowell is situated on 1,140 acres of fields and forests with miles of trails winding through beautiful sandstone canyons with waterfalls. There are a number of iconic buildings onsite, including two chapels, several rustic barns, and a log home built in the 1830’s. Many of the buildings at camp have covered porches, making for ideal painting spots even during inclement weather. Camp McDowell is also home to a working farm with chickens, goats, and pigs.

Public bathroom facilities are located throughout Camp McDowell. Locations are marked on the campus map provided at check-in.

Additional Program Information

There is a standard $22 registration fee for this Paint Out, which includes a Camp McDowell reusable water bottle, wine and cheese social on Friday night, and snacks throughout the Paint Out.

There will be an optional sharing of daily paintings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday as part of the wine and cheese social.

Depending on what other guest groups are present at Camp McDowell during the weekend, there may be an opportunity to host a wet paint show and sale on Saturday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. This will be confirmed closer to the event.
